Pedro da Silva (Doctor of Musical Arts) teaches composition at New York University as an adjunct assistant professor. (click here for more)


His composition style includes film, contemporary classical, world, rock, jazz and electronica.


Pedro plays classical, flamenco, electric & Portuguese guitars; sitar; bouzouki; mandolin; mandola; cavaquinho; viola braguesa; cuatro; oud; electric bass


He recently founded a chamber orchestra, the Manhattan Camerata, with his wife Lucía Caruso.

  4. -wrote the music of “Tijuana nada más...” 2007 by Yolanda Pividal;

  5. -wrote the music of “Il ritorno di Inge” 2005 by Swiss filmmakers Genni and Toppi.
